Description
Cialis tablets contain tadalafil, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation. They are usually taken as needed, at least 30 minutes before sex, and can remain effective for up to 36 hours. Cialis is available in strengths such as 10mg and 20mg and should not be taken more than once in a 24-hour period or used alongside other ED treatments. After a short online consultation, a UK-registered prescriber can issue a private prescription if suitable, and your treatment is dispensed by our pharmacy and delivered in plain, discreet packaging.
What are Cialis tablets?
Cialis is the branded version of tadalafil, a PDE5 inhibitor used to manage erectile dysfunction. Branded Cialis and generic tadalafil contain the same active ingredient and work in the same way, but branded Cialis is often more expensive. Both medicines help adult men achieve and maintain an erection when sexually aroused by improving blood flow to the penis. If you have ongoing erection difficulties or concerns about treatment, you should speak to your doctor or prescriber for further advice.
How it works
Cialis contains tadalafil, a medicine that helps increase blood flow to the penis when you are sexually aroused. Normally, an enzyme called PDE5 breaks down a substance in the body (cGMP) that is needed to relax blood vessels and allow more blood into the penis.
Tadalafil blocks PDE5, so cGMP lasts longer. This helps the blood vessels stay relaxed, making it easier to get and keep an erection during sexual stimulation. One of the key features of Cialis is its long duration of action – it can work for up to 36 hours, meaning you may be able to achieve an erection at any time in that window when you are aroused.
