What is Amoxicillin 500mg? Amoxicillin is a widely used penicillin antibiotic that works by stopping bacteria from growing and multiplying, helping your body to clear the infection. It is often chosen as a first-line treatment for many routine bacterial infections when an antibiotic is needed.
How it works
Amoxicillin 500mg capsules treat dental infections by stopping the bacteria that cause them from multiplying. As a penicillin-type antibiotic, amoxicillin interferes with the bacteria’s ability to build and maintain their cell wall, which weakens the bacteria and leads to their death. By targeting common bacteria found in the mouth, amoxicillin helps to clear the infection, reduce swelling and pain, and prevent it from spreading to nearby tissues.

Each capsule contains amoxicillin as the active ingredient.
